The Accuri C6 is equip with 2 lasers: a 488nm solid state, blue laser and a 640nm diode, red laser. It features two light scatter detectors and four fluorescence detectors with optical filters optimized for the detection of fluorochromes such as FITC, PE, PerCP, and APC. The acquisition software is easy to use and allows for gating strategies and fluorescence compensation values to be set before, during, or after data collection. Data is digitally collected over a 6-decade dynamic range.
A 2-hour training session is required before using this machine.
The Laboratory for Stem Cell Biology and Engineering was established to provide a shared stem cell culture facility in support of human embryonic stem cell (hESC) research at UCSB and at neighboring institutions. The primary objectives of this facility are hESC culture training, research, and quality control. For access to the facility please set up a meeting with one of the co-Directors, Mika Katsura (mikakatsura@ucsb.edu) or Susanne Myer (smeyer@ucsb.edu).
